Watch your Profanity ; The Rez Sisters
Tomson Highways play The Rez Sisters is a reading necessity in all High schools curriculum across North American. The book Highlights the native life style on reserves and what type of problems they deal with like the poor living conditions and the lack of education and jobs. The book offers a very interesting topic about the First Nations and makes the book even more enticing with the use of course language which students are not used to hearing in class. It almost gives students the privilege to swear without getting into trouble by the teacher. The use of the profanity really makes the story line more realistic and it also grabs everyone's attention when it is being used. The book brings up a lot of interesting controversy which makes you more interested in the story. Overall I think that The Rez Sisters is a book that all schools should be reading because of both the education side and the humoures side.
